My research carried out in April:
- preparing the surface of the AA3004 aluminium alloy for EBSD/SEM measurements: grinding on abrasive papers (it was need to take off 1 mm of the surface)and polishing using diamond pastes and electropolishing.
- obtaining EBSD orientation maps for the AA3004 aluminium alloy after processing through ECAP die and recrystallised in conditions:
a) 1h - 250°C;
b) 1h - 150°C;
c) 1h - 100°C;
d) for the deformed state.
I also organized travel and accommodation in connection with the desire to participate in the 'Oxford Instruments' Symposium and Workshops in May in Germany.

In April I continued the study of stability of homogeneous Zn(II)-Mo(VI) citrate solutions, the study of electrochemical properties of citrate complexes presented in examined solutions and the study of the kinetics and mechanism of electroreduction of Zn and Mo citrate complexes, by cyclic voltammetry method. I conducted research in the different hydrodynamic conditions, in solutions containing various concentrations of sodium citrate and sodium molybdate. The voltammetric measurements were performer in a tree-electrode cell , by means of potentiostat PARSTAT 2273 or PGSTAT302N. A copper disc was the working electrode (surface area 2.83 cm2). A platinum sheet (5cm2) was used as the counter electrode. The working electrode potentials were referred to the saturated calomel electrode (SCE) and were ohmic drop, as measured by the current interrupt method, was compensated for. Also I lead the processes of potentiostatic and galvanostatic deposition of alloy layers, from the same solutions.

In April I wrote a abstract titled „EBSD/SEM investigation of microstrain fields and microstructures in pure zinc extruded by KoBo method”. The abstract was prepared for workshop „ELECTRON PROBE MICROANALYSIS OF MATERIALS TODAY - PRACTICAL ASPECTS” held by European Microbeam Analysis Society in Padua, Italy in June this year. It is concerning results of research that was conducted on pure zinc extruded by KoBo method at AGH. Microstructure of such material poses some interesting characteristics. Dimensions of equiaxed grains oscillates around 5 um with biggest grains around 10 - 20 um. Areas of highly defected lattice (indicated by low values of image quality factor) stretched along grain boundaries have thickness up to around ~6 um. Relatively high fraction of this defected lattice in relation to non-defected grains interior might be reason for unusual mechanical behaviour of this material.

The analysis of the sample phase of titanium alloy of aluminum, titanium and niobium coated hydroxyapatite for beam angles 1, 2, 5 degrees. The first sample had a 100-nanometer layer of hydroxyapatite, while the second sample was coated with a layer of hydroxyapatite dwustudwudziesto nanometer. Sample was studied in two theta angle of twenty-five degrees to one hundred twenty degrees. The study revealed a grazing phases:

From experimental point of view, continuation of the measurement of the electromotive force of liquides AlLiZn alloys for constant ratio of concentration of Al and Zn, equals 3.0. Addition of the concentration 0.5, 0.7 et 0.9 lithium, respectively.
Whereas, from theoretical side, an application of the Bathia and Hargrove theory for demixing alloys based on free volume theory. Connection of the transport phemonena on the structural properties i.e. ordering of atoms or clustering. Moreover, application of the molecular dynamic simulations for evaluation of the basic thermodynamic properties.
