The analysis of the sample phase of titanium alloy of aluminum, titanium and niobium coated hydroxyapatite for beam angles 1, 2, 5 degrees. The first sample had a 100-nanometer layer of hydroxyapatite, while the second sample was coated with a layer of hydroxyapatite dwustudwudziesto nanometer. Samp

From experimental point of view, continuation of the measurement of the electromotive force of liquides AlLiZn alloys for constant ratio of concentration of Al and Zn, equals 3.0. Addition of the concentration 0.5, 0.7 et 0.9 lithium, respectively.
Whereas, from theoretical side, an applicat

Another month has passed and the next papers have been read...This time I focused on the literature concerning methods of cellular adhesion and proliferation control on the polyelectrolyte multilayer surfaces. I produced several series of samples to evaluate the micro-hardness. I prepared specimens

In April we did some TEM work on Ni-Mn-Sn based and aluminium doped samples. The aluminium content was 1 and 2 atomic %. The first sample with 1 at. % of Al nicely showed typical for this materials Heusler structure composed of four interpenetrating bcc sub lattices. What is more in the grain bounda

I am still fighting and looking for ideas how to extract information which is of my interest from 3D EBSD data in an effective way. I have been testing a dozen of different computer programs... however none gives satisfying results. It appear I will have to spend some more time looking for good solu

In march I studied the mechanism of electrodeposition of Zn-Mo alloy from citrate solutions. I used cyclic voltammetry method for it. The electrodeposits were obtained from stable, homogeneous Zn(II)-Mo(VI) citrate solutions in the slightly acid range (pH about 5). The surface composition was determ

From 29 March to 1 April 2012 I had the pleasure to participate in the III Symposium on Photovoltaic and Transparent Electronics - Perspectives of Development. At the Symposium I have presented the speech entitled "Chemical texturisation of crystalline silicon surface in solution based on HF an

        My research in March:
        - Vicker’s microhardness test performed on the third series of composite samples
        (with submicron AlN reinforcement)
        - ball-milling of Al/AlN (10%) and AA7475/AlN (5%) powders
        - uniaxial hot pressing of Al/AlN (10%) ball milled powder
        - TEM inv

My research carried out in March:
        - preparing the surface of the AA3004 aluminium alloy for EBSD/SEM measurements: grinding on abrasive papers (it was need to take off 1 mm of the surface)and polishing using diamond pastes and electropolishing.
        - obtaining EBSD orientation maps for the AA

Main studies carried out during March:

        - microhardness measurements of the melt - spun ribbons with chromium, titanium, and vanadium addition in the as- cast state,
        - preparation of new pentanary alloy,
        - investigation of thin foils with titanium and vanadium addition using T

This month I was focused on 3D EBSD experiments on aluminium 6013 alloy after severe plastic deformation. The new software that was installed 2 months ago works quite well. Apart from data collection, data post processing was also carried out. Since there are no well established methods for data pro

In March microstructural research on KoBo deformed materials continues. Two sample types of KoBo'ed hexagonall materials were prepared: 8 mm discs from CP Grade 2 titanium and resin immersed 2 mm zinc wires (oriented to observe transverse section). Samples were prepared for EBSD investigations.
